NOW HIRING – Assistant Manager, Engineering to direct and coordinate operational aspects of projects throughout their life cycles to ensure peak performance.

Contract: 12 Months
Location: Lephalale

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for:

Contribute to design, technical reviews, Hazard and Operational Studies (HAZOPS), and other project-related reviews.
Ensure that all applicable SHE policies and procedures are followed in accordance with established standards.
Coordination of commissioning, quality assurance, and performance criteria testing
Implement Theory of Constraints (TOC) principles to optimize process capability and asset management
Create operating procedures that are in line with business goals.
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), South African National Standards (SANS), and company-specific Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Electrical Engineering (Essential/Minimum or) B Eng.
Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum or) B Eng.
B Tech Electrical Engineering (Required/Optional)
Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum) B Tech
Government Competence Certificate: Engineering (Necessary/Minimum)
Essential/Minimum Management Development Program

Experience:

6-8 years of Experience with relevant plant, production, operational, and maintenance tasks; Experience in project management, design, and development with coal, either underground or on the surface
