Introduction
- Several registered mechanical engineers (Pr Eng / Candidate Eng / Pr Techni Eng) are needed on a full-time basis by our client, a rapidly expanding international engineering consulting firm in the building services sector. For enthusiastic candidates with a passion for building engineering consulting services to join their dynamic team in Cape Town ASAP, this company offers challenges in multi-disciplinary engineering consulting services and fascinating projects in construction (energy, infrastructure, building services).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engineering for HVAC, wet services, and fire – designs and installations
- Prepare the bill of quantities (BOQ), cost projections, and fee suggestions for the tender specifications.
- Site observation and contractor management (site support)
- take part in site meetings
- Reporting and technical writing
- maintaining communication with clients, numerous project stakeholders, and other engineering specialties
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Mechanical engineering majors must have a B Eng, BSc Eng, or B Tech
- must be registered with ECSA
- Mechanical consulting engineering expertise
- a strong technical foundation and good problem-solving abilities in building services
- HVAC, fire, and/or wet services experience is required for design and/or installation.
- MUST possess a capable personal vehicle and be willing to travel
- The following requirements are thought to be a big plus:
- – HVAC designs and installations, wet services, and fire
- – Experience with CAD or Revit drafting
