- The Executive Marketing and Sales role reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the PetroSA Group and interacts with the PetroSA Board. The successful candidate will build a strong marketing and sales organization with the necessary processes and systems, and then develop and implement a world-class marketing and sales strategy for PetroSA to ensure the achievement of corporate targets (at least 15% of market share) and commercial viability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To ensure that the marketing business unit operates and delivers in accordance with the authorized corporate plan and
- promotes customer experience, lead, direct, and assume ownership and responsibility for the unit’s strategy and business plan/model.

- Develop a well-managed business relationship with the oil industry and global sales and marketing organizations. Develop, grow, and maintain the specialty market that is expanding into the aviation, lubricants, LPG, and marine business.
- Establish a marketing organization with the necessary depth of expertise, system capabilities, and controls.
- Increasing PetroSA’s marketing income contribution to meet financial goals in accordance with the authorized corporate plan
- To secure the organization’s long-term viability and transformation, develop and manage strategic partnerships/relationships with the government, global markets, and other stakeholders. This will help the organization raise money, sell goods, and buy assets and raw materials.
- Create a strong leadership pipeline by offering staff coaching and mentoring.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Qualifications:
- a postgraduate degree in business management, or something equivalent, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, finance, engineering, or another related field. (Ideally an MBA.)
Lowest Level of Work Experience:
- 15 / years 5 of the required 10 years of petrochemical experience must be at the senior level.
