Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, as well as at least seven years of experience working in an ICT setting, five of which should have been spent implementing ICT projects. Experience with the DPSA’s ICT governance framework and regulations will be helpful.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties:
  • Create a financial plan and three-year IT strategy that are in line with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the ICT Department, which entails creating the departmental business plan and evaluating employee performance;
  • Managing the organization’s ICT infrastructure and assets; Providing ICT support to all departments and the EXCO;
  • Oversee and participate in ICT-related procurement processes;
  • Developing, implementing, and keeping an eye on the ICT Risk register;
  • Develop, implement, and uphold appropriate policies that are in line with applicable laws.
  • Watch out for the development, implementation, and upkeep of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Services.
  • Planning, allocating, and monitoring the budget’s expenditures in accordance with strategic goals and ensuring that pertinent policies are being followed
  • in collaboration with both internal and external auditors, as well as in response to audit findings;
  • Create and keep up network security measures.
  • Supervise the execution and fusion of all ICT projects.
  • Taking charge of all ICT contracts
  • As and when the business requires, any additional responsibilities appropriate to the role that are ICT-related.
