Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, a National Diploma in computer sciences, or an equivalent degree, as well as at least five (5) years of experience managing ICT infrastructure and technical projects, of which three (3) years should be spent implementing ICT technical projects and supporting applications and systems.
    Certified Microsoft Engineer credentials (MCSA and or MCSE).
    DPSA ICT governance framework and regulatory experience will be an added advantage, as will CISCO-certified credentials like CCNA/CCNP.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties:
  • Managing ICT hardware and technical projects from beginning to end for three years.
  • 3 years of extensive understanding, execution, and execution of the entire system development life cycle.
  • ICT equipment procurement experience of at least three years, from terms of reference and specifications to evaluation and presentation as adjudication.
  • Set performance benchmarks and deadlines for the first-tier ICT service desk over the next three years in a manner consistent with the company’s aims and vision, and convey these to the first-tier ICT service desk employees.
  • 3 years of practical experience putting system backup plans into action. locally and to the DR remedy.
    three years’ worth of expertise in keeping track of asset lifecycles and budgeting for replacements (be able to formulate a budget).
  • Experience managing all ICT Technical and ICT Operations service level agreements for three years.
  • Three years’ worth of experience in performance management, including ensuring that team members (first tier ICT service desk) meet their goals in accordance with the policy.
  • 3 years of practical experience conducting ICT audits and responding to results by minimizing ICT audit findings. 
  • 3 years of experience in training, supervising, and evaluating first-tier ICT service desk job outcomes; working with junior staff 
  • 3 years of experience creating and enforcing all ICT systems, policies, and procedures. 3 years of experience reporting on ICT security.
  • 3 years of expertise configuring, supporting and maintaining Cisco/HP routers and switches.
  • CISCO firewall implementation, maintenance, and support experience spanning 3 years (VPN configurations and support).
  • 3 years of experience in identifying problems, resolving issues, and preventing interconnectivity incidents.
  • It will be desirable to have experience with and knowledge of enterprise architecture.
    ensuring the development, implementation, and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery services.
Knowledge:
  • technical expertise in ICT systems and network infrastructure.
    solid understanding of ICT security.
    knowledge of the COBIT, ITIL, and PRINCE2 frameworks
    vast knowledge and expertise in project management
    Professional knowledge of application integration methods in a Microsoft Windows environment.
