Duties & Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Recruitment of pre-and post-graduate (contact and distance) students to satisfy the enrolment plan’s targets
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Marketing
  • Individual recruitment of well-balanced and academically brilliant prospective students, including identifying pupils already in grade 9.
  • Individualize career counseling for top students by utilizing existing technologies.
  • During campus visits and recruitment events, provide career advice.
  • Maintain positive relationships with principals, Life Orientation instructors, and other senior educators.
  • Utilize the CRM System to the fullest extent possible.
  • Promote and make maximum use of the Interest Index.
Marketing University at Schools and Activations
  • Market University’s offerings and school experience
  • Monitor school performance and the success of university applications in comparison to bachelor’s degrees using the CRM System.
Career Exhibitions
  • Market University’s offerings and experience at schools
    Using the CRM System, track school performance and the success of university applications in comparison to bachelor’s degrees.
Liaison
  • Communicate with teachers in order to promote the University and its role in the education sector.

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Attend all training and staff sessions as assigned by the manager and/or director

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • NQF7 Bed (essential)
  • 3 years of proven school sector knowledge (essential)
  • 3 years of demonstrated job experience in the university industry, as well as an understanding of study fields and recruitment procedures (essential)
Functional & Technical competencies
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email, as well as the Internet, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp
    Audio-visual devices
  • Above-average awareness of occupational careers, including required qualifications; hence, above-average understanding of university degrees (pre and post).
  • Knowledge of the school sector that is above average
  • Above-average understanding of how the school system works
  • Proven experience working with young people and understanding their communication and information-sharing styles.
  • Proven experience speaking to and influencing government officials, parents, teachers, headmasters, scholars, and relevant role-players within the institution.
  • Proven experience in influencing and participating in the development of the university’s admission requirements
  • Proven knowledge of the industry and its impact on the university’s enrollment planning
  • A valid driver’s license

The yearly total salary package will be appropriate for the advertised level of appointment and in accordance with NWU policy requirements.
