Duties & Responsibilities

Key requirements

Candidates must meet the following minimum standards in order to be considered:

- Financial tertiary qualification
- Strong financial modeling skills
- South African nationality
- Johannesburg-based or willing to relocate
- CA (SA), CFA

Role responsibilities

Review and analysis of market opportunities
Participation in deal-making activities
Deal screening for new opportunities and the ability to offer team suggestions
Financial modeling and analysis for new investments
Potential investments and existing portfolio firms are valued.
Assist with deal process management and communication with counterparties during deal execution.
Due diligence investigation performance and management
Preparation of investment memoranda for presentation to investment committee Assistance with transaction structuring and negotiation
Participation in the negotiation and settlement of legal agreements
Participation in the firm’s investment decision-making structures
Monitoring portfolio company performance and assisting with the implementation of their growth initiatives
Agile Capital is represented on the boards of portfolio companies.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience in any of the following industries is essential:

- Private equity
- Transacting and/or deal-making background
- Transaction advisory services
- Leverage finance
- Corporate finance
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Deal advisory
- Management consulting

Other Qualities

- Self-starter with a good work ethic
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
