Company Secretary/Legal Advisor – quant_000298
A diversified poultry and feed company, Quantum Foods offers high-quality animal protein to specific South African and African markets. The following position is open at Quantum Foods right now: Legal counsel/Company Secretary. The position will be accountable for the whole Company Secretary/Legal Advisor role for the Company and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Wellington, Western Cape, is the location of the job. When it’s practical, the company uses a hybrid model for remote work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain adherence to JSE Listings requirements
- To ensure statutory compliance, prepare, submit, and register numerous Forms and Returns.
- Plan agendas and minutes for Board, Committee, and Shareholder Meetings.
- aid in making sure of legal compliance (e.g. Competition Law, POPI Act, NCA, etc.)
- Give legal counsel on business matters
- Manage and update King IV on compliance
- Organize all legal administration, paperwork, and correspondence.
- Inform the company of any changes to applicable laws and other pertinent issues
desired qualifications and experience
Experience working in a company secretarial or legal team and an LLB degree are advantages.
A strong ability to manage a variety of stakeholder engagements and good communication abilities.
