Introduction

Our client is a large mining company headquartered in the Northern Cape with operations throughout Africa. They have a fantastic opportunity for a MAINTENANCE ENGINEER: PLANT with extensive experience.

THE JOB’S PURPOSE

The incumbent will report directly to the Engineering Head and will be responsible for effectively ensuring optimum plant availability and runtime by implementing maintenance strategy plans, as well as providing technical support to contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

In charge of managing and supervising the plant’s equipment availability, maintenance, and optimization.
H/she must identify equipment/procedures that are not performing as expected, analyze the cause, and develop action plans.
Make recommendations for plant or equipment redesign or modification in order to optimize plant processes.
comply with and keep legal responsibility
Ensure and supervise efficient and effective human resource management
Manage the department’s training activities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical Engineering Technology/B.Sc.
License to drive
Competence Certificate from the Government (Mines and Works)
Must have 10 years of general engineering experience, 3 of which must have been in asset management or mechanical maintenance management function.
