JOB PURPOSE:

to use a service-to-sell marketing strategy to promote and sell transportation and warehousing services. to keep our client base strong and make sure that any associated inquiries or complaints are handled properly.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Find and create profitable new business prospects in the areas of transportation, warehousing, and related services;
create fresh sales leads and a database of future customers;
sustaining and expanding current business through cross-selling opportunities;
Establish solid client relationships to boost and expand sales possibilities;
Maintain current sales records on the firm IT systems for all current and potential clients.
Create thorough, expertly written proposals and quotes as necessary;
At all times, a professional sales strategy is used;

Desired Experience & Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

The ideal candidate should have a suitable tertiary degree and be outgoing and service-oriented.
Advanced Excel proficiency and computer literacy
Fluency in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written) will be advantageous. Three years of relevant experience in a similar capacity in a logistics/warehouse setting.
Business Writing abilities
negotiating techniques
Strong sales strategy, including negotiating, managing objections, and closing a contract. Confident communicator both on the phone and in writing.
Self-driven and capable of working under pressure
being able to travel
