The undergraduate and graduate programs at Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI) can be applied for online. The application necessities might change relying upon the program, yet as a general rule, coming up next are the prerequisites:

  • Academic credentials: The National Senior Certificate (NSC) or an equivalent qualification with an endorsement that satisfies the program’s minimum requirements is required of all applicants. A few projects might have extra necessities, for example, explicit subjects or a base grade point normal (GPA). The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) may require applicants with qualifications obtained outside of South Africa to present a certificate of equivalence.
Cost to Apply: When you submit your application, you are required to pay a non-refundable application fee. The amount of the application fee, which can be paid online with a credit card, debit card, or electronic funds transfer, may vary by program.
Additional Documents: In order to be considered for a program, applicants are required to submit certified copies of their identity documents, passports, and academic transcripts. Throughout the online application process, these documents can be uploaded.
Scholastic Focuses Score (APS): Some universities in South Africa use the APS, which is a calculation of your final 12th grade grades, to determine whether you are eligible for admission. MGI involves the APS framework to decide qualification for a portion of their projects. The APS is calculated by adding the points you got for your six best subjects—Living Orientation is not included in this calculation. The following is how the points for each subject are distributed: 7 for 80 percent and higher, 6 for 70-79 percent, 5 for 60-69 percent, 4 for 50-59 percent, 3 for 40-49 percent, and 2 for 30-39 percent. It is essential to check the MGI website for the specific requirements of your desired program because the APS requirement for each program may differ.
Proficiency in English: It’s possible that applicants who don’t speak English as their first language will need to show that they are proficient in it. This can be accomplished by either taking an MGI English language proficiency test or providing a score from an English language test like the IELTS or TOEFL.

It is essential to keep in mind that the program-specific application requirements may include additional requirements. The information provided by MGI regarding the application requirements must be read and comprehended by applicants.

Contact the MGI admissions team for assistance if you have any questions or concerns about the application requirements. They can guide you through the application process and answer any other questions you may have.
