  • The organization’s operational actions are organized, directed, and coordinated through planning. ensuring that all operations properly adhere to the standards for occupational health and safety. In order to support the strategic priorities and business operations, lead a cultural shift in which managers are held accountable and excellence is expected in all areas of safety, health, environment, and quality. Managers are responsible for adhering to applicable laws and building compliance with established standards, such as ISO.

Duties
Health and Safety
  • Monitors workplace health and safety concerns and provides workers with advice on how to reduce or eliminate these risks in the organization. Manages, monitors, and improves health and safety standards in the organization.
    Compile and maintain safety files and other pertinent files for projects and for CW. – Ensures the organization complies with all Health and Safety standards. At the national level: Pre-implementation risk assessments are carried out on new sites as needed, and risk mitigation strategies are identified in collaboration with all contractors. The organization reviews contractor safety files.
  • Report on contractor performance where recurring issues are not being handled in accordance with standards. Provide SHE improvement proposals, proposed corrective action, requires resources for corrective action, and plan of implementation of NCR’s issued and following up thereon within the organization.
    – Participate in management meetings and technical meetings as needed on behalf of the company’s SHEQ department.
    – Participate in contractor meetings and provide updates
    – Reporting on investigations and corrective actions
    – Create monthly reports and data regarding SHE performance CW – Examine the underlying causes of SHE complaints made by employees, clients, customers, and contractors and report the findings to Management Nationally
    – To maintain the highest level of preparedness, in any event, make sure that regular emergency response exercises and drills are done. Keep nationwide records of drills.
  • oversee the regular inspection of the organization’s offices, premises, and firefighting, safety, and emergency response equipment.
    – Help with the creation and implementation of emergency response protocols and evacuation plans for the workplace. Make sure that these plans are routinely reviewed, updated, shared with the workforce, and recorded under training and induction.
    – Deliver thorough reports on audit findings. Assist in creating all necessary documentation, operational checks, and reports for the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards, including corrective and preventative measures. Identify non-conformities and offer corrective action to prevent a recurrence. Monitor and review that corrective measures have been implemented. Travel to all branches within CW to ensure that they comply.
  • Standards, specifications, regulations, and procedures should be reviewed and modified before approval.
    Planning and organizing SHEQ-related training; establishing, monitoring, and implementing safe work practices; SOPs and safe work instructions for tasks as needed; maintaining and updating all pertinent SHEQ department administrative folders relating to regional accountabilities and responsibilities.
