Students who use NSFAS Wallet use NSFAS cash vouchers.TVET College students who are financed by NSFAS utilize the NSFAS Wallet to keep track of their allowances.For students to withdraw cash from their NSFAS Wallet, an NSFAS cash voucher must be created.
How Do I Get NSFAS Cash Voucher?
STEP 1: Creating NSFAS Wallet Voucher
- Dial *134*176#
- Type in your NSFAS Wallet Password.
- Select “Cash Voucher” by choosing option 1.
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw.
- You’ll get your voucher.
STEP 2: Withdrawing Money From NSFAS Wallet
- Take your voucher to a merchant NSFAS participating store or Celbux
- You’ll state how much you want to withdraw
- Present the merchant number you’ve generated in the first step
- The merchant or Celbux will give yoiu cash in exchange for the voucher
How to check my Nsfas Status
To check your NSFAS application status:
- Log into your myNSFAS account portal.
- Enter your ID or username and password.
- Press the SIGN IN! button.
- Once you log into your account dashboard, click on Track Funding Progress to check your application status.
- If your application has been successful, Congrats! If not, better luck next time.
Required Documents Needed For Application
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will require more information from you to process your application, so you need to provide the following documents to ensure that your application is successful.
- Provide your own cellphone number and email address
- You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
- National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
- The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
- The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
- All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
- An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.
