Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that items are picked from the picking list in accordance with customer orders and packed into shelves in accordance with company standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Picking
- Pick stock in accordance with the picking slip precisely.
- Verify that the appropriate stock was chosen.
- Ensure accurate completion of picking slips
- On all picking slips, include your name, date, weights, dimensions, and signatures if necessary.
- On the packing slip, indicate and communicate any anomalies.
- On the packing slip, indicate and communicate any variations in product quantity and color.
Packing
- Pack the stock precisely into the appropriate areas or bins.
In order to safeguard the product, ensure that it is wrapped effectively in accordance with company policies.
Make sure that the correct stock is sent to the dispatch area. - Prepare products for shipment or delivery.
- Pack and load goods into vehicles in accordance with company guidelines.
Warehouse Assistance
- Product loading and unloading from vehicles or containers.
- Assist with receiving stock.
- When required, assist with deliveries and pickups from and to customers.
- ensuring that all stock is displayed at all times and placed in an orderly manner.
- Count stock.
SHEQ Integrated Management System control
- Ensure adherence to the OHS Act.
- Take reasonable precautions for your own health and the safety of others.
- Work with the employer to ensure that prescribed responsibilities or requirements are met.
- Follow the health and safety guidelines and follow any legal instructions.
- Inform the employer of any unhealthy or unsafe circumstances.
- Report any incident to the employer.
- Comply with health and safety plans
- Always check that the work area complies with health and safety and hygiene standards.
Ensure that the work area is kept clean.
Ensure that the company’s PPE requirements are followed.
Always adhere to high standards for customer service.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- years of relevant experience in a position similar to this
SKILL REQUIREMENT AND KNOWLEDGE
- ability to perform basic calculations using numbers.
- Knowledge of and comprehension of the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO 14001 that are pertinent to the processes under your control.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong attention to detail.
- ability to carry a lot of weight (physical stamina and strength).
REQUIREMENTS AS AN ADDED BENEFIT
- Experience in the aluminum profiles, -systems, and –accessories environment or similar.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- Valid Forklift license.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- It is necessary to be able to work outside of the contractual working hours in accordance with the requirements for overtime when authorized due to the nature of the position.
