Our mining industry client of ours is seeking a procurement manager.

• To oversee the company’s supply of goods and services, we are seeking a qualified procurement manager. The duties of a procurement manager include developing plans to locate suppliers and deals that are affordable. Finding the best ways to reduce procurement costs is the responsibility of the procurement manager.

Important Responsibilities

• • Create and implement effective sourcing strategies;
• Retain an up-to-date supplier database;
• Find new, profitable suppliers;
• Start business and organization partnerships.
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services by approving the terms of negotiations with external vendors
• Review and evaluate the current contract and terms;
• Complete purchase details for orders and deliveries;
• To cut costs and increase effectiveness, monitor and report the most important operational metrics.
• Control spending and create a culture of long-term cost savings on procurement by performing risk management for supply contracts and agreements, anticipating unfavorable events through data analysis, and developing control strategies. Hold business review meetings with the head of procurement to evaluate risk, discuss future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities.
