Duties & Responsibilities
Basic Function of Position:
- The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E/SI)/Strategic Information (SI) Specialist is the main point of contact for Lesotho-based PEPFAR M&E/SI operations and reporting and reports to the USAID/Lesotho Senior Strategic Information (SI) Advisor and Director. The incumbent works with USAID PEPFAR implementing partners, aware Government of Lesotho (GOL) ministries, such as the Ministry of Health, local government, and international and bilateral funders to give advice, guidance, and direction. He or she is in charge of carrying out, supervising, and strengthening M&E/SI PEPFAR requirements, including the MER indicators, preparing the M&E/SI component of the COP (Country Operational Plan), quarterly reporting, tools for collection, SIMS (Site Improvement through Monitoring System), and data quality protocols for PEPFAR activities.
- The incumbent keeps tabs on the development of given projects, recognizing any logistical, technical, or personnel problems and making or recommending changes as needed for program success. He or she identifies system or training requirements and takes part in the creation and delivery of programs for partners and stakeholders. He or she is the USAID/Lesotho Site Improvement via Monitoring System (SIMS) coordinator and point of contact.
