Register For Nsfas 2024-2025
Nsfas registration is done once a year, and students must register on the Nsfas website to be considered for financing. Applicants who enrolled the previous year must re-register in order to access the online portal. To access your funding progress through your myNSFAS account, you must first create or re-create an account.
Who Is Eligible For NSFAS Registration?
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
How To Re Register For Nsfas
- Navigate to www.nsfas.org.za login.
- Click myNSFAS tab.
- Click register.
- Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details.
- Then capture the ID number as stated on your ID document.
- Type in your full names and surname as per your ID number.
- Type in your current email address.
- Confirm your email address.
- Type in your cellphone number.
- Create a password.
- Confirm password.
- Upload ID Copy.
- Click register.
- You will be sent an OTP to the email and cell number provided (this OTP expires after 24 hours).
- Type in the OTP and click Submit.
- You have now completed your NSFAS account re-registration.
If you already have an account, you can sign in with your username and password, as well as your Facebook and Google accounts. Remember that, your phone number and email address must be unique to you and cannot be shared.
Who Should Not Register?
- Students that have completed a previous qualification.
- Students with a combined household income of more than R350 000 per annum.
- Students who have already applied, qualified and received funding. They are automatically funded for the duration of their studies provided they pass their modules and meet the academic requirements.
- Foreign students (any student who is not a South African citizen).
