  • Travel to remote locations takes place in the SADC region 75% of the time.
  • Applicants may be citizens of or residents of South Africa with a work permit.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The main technical source for the field sales team is the regional engineers.
  • Regional engineers serve as the company’s primary technical advisor and product spokesman, collaborating with the sales team to actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process.
  • The regional engineer needs to be able to explain product positioning and technology to both commercial and technical users.
  • To guarantee complete client satisfaction throughout all phases of the sales process, the ability to recognize all technical concerns of assigned accounts is required.
  • Throughout the sales cycle, one must be able to build and maintain solid relationships both within and externally.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Trade papers or experience with formal workshop instruction; National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; BSc Mechanical degree; or B. Tech (Mechanical).
  • 4-6 years of relevant Service & Sales experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector


  • Strong SADC area market and sales knowledge (A MUST), as well as familiarity with unexplored nations in the region
    the capacity to adapt to the cultures of several SADC nations.
  • Experience working with a large American corporation will be beneficial.
  • expertise in project and contract management
  • MS Office computer proficiency; upkeep of the opportunity management project database (CRM); initiative and drive.
  • Being fluent in English means being able to write your own letters, reports, proposals, and quotations;
  • the capacity to deliver presentations to clients at all organizational levels.
  • Ability and talent to interact with customers’ technical and commercial departments.
  • Reading mechanical engineering drawings and making application suggestions are examples of technical aptitude.
  • a valid driving license without any endorsements;

Package & Remuneration

  • Maximum No Commission: R65000
