Duties & Responsibilities

Construction project consulting, feasibility studies, site monitoring, and quality control
Construction project scope development
Cost estimation and control, cash flow forecasting, and management
Document management and filing
Shutdowns and project programs are meticulously planned and executed.
Progress monitoring
AMSA’s contract administration for civil construction contracts, as well as quantity surveying,
Ensure site safety and compliance with all SHERQ rules.
Client, contractor, and subcontractor liaison

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

ECSA registration will be an advantage if you have a B-Eng. / BSc. Degree (NQF 7/8 or NQF 8/10) or an M-Dip / M-Tech (NQF 7/8 or NQF 8/10) in Civil Engineering.

Experience & Requirements

4 years of civil engineering experience and project management principles
Solid understanding of the ArcelorMittal factories
Excellent Civil Engineering knowledge and managerial abilities
Environmental law knowledge is required.
Understanding of engineering drawings
A thorough understanding of the ArcelorMittal Drawing system
Be familiar with and adept in the use of SAP.
Comprehensive understanding of the OHSA Act and the Construction Regulations of the OHS Act No 85 of 1993

Personal attributes

Management of Projects and Contracts
Site monitoring abilities and knowledge are required.
Candidates must have great communication skills and the ability to work as part of an engineering team in a business-driven setting.
