Support Specialist (Accounting)


  • We are a JSE-listed firm seeking a Help Specialist who can provide support for our partner’s top restaurant management software platform’s American customers. Live chats, emails, and support tickets will all be used for the support function. We are searching for someone with a background in accounting, a love of problem-solving, and the ability to communicate clearly in English.   • The Support Specialist, Accounting will be in charge of assisting R365 users with all accounting features of the R365 program. Through tickets, this job manages important customer communications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Asking customers for information that is required to solve problems
  • Determine remedies for consumer complaints and deliver them
  • to assist clients in comprehending R365 software’s accounting features
  • Customers’ non-accounting issues should be directed to the appropriate teams and team members.
  • Diagnose and record software flaws, then report them to the manager or accounting support lead.
  • Take part in online talks
  • Maintain a personal client ticket queue.
  • Identify any gaps in the company’s self-help materials.
  • At the direction of Support management, instruct and guide new team members.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree desired, preferably with a business, finance, accounting, or related focus.
  • 1+ Years of experience using accounting principles in the workplace
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to express oneself clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Strong accounting principles and bookkeeping abilities
  • understanding financial figures and reports
  • possess the capacity to manage numerous things at once.
  • aptitude for solving issues
  • expertise in application troubleshooting and tech support (advantageous)
  • encounters with contact centers (advantageous)
  • Excellent attention to detail, Excel proficiency
