Job Description
South Africa, Gauteng – Jhb Southern Suburbs
R 24000 – R 27000 Monthly Basic Salary
To process and place all local and international orders for the Company
RESPONSIBILITIES
Processing special orders for customers Request inventory counts and/or stock checks where appropriate Obtain and negotiate prices, delivery, terms, and sources of supply Verify charges indicated on purchase orders and requisitions against cost center accounts Verify bids offered on “substitute” items against specifications and, if necessary, with ordering departments. Review purchase orders, conferring with other departments to verify orders. Contact vendors and evaluate quotations offered by suppliers. Assist with the development and implementation of various purchasing procedures, inventories, accounts,
Expedition goods by contacting vendors about shortages and handling overcharges and breakages to monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and quantity.
Make arrangements for imports’ payment with finance and carry out daily 48-hour follow-ups Special import orders from branches Weekly investigation of stock levels on imports and discuss with supply chain weekly Assist in sourcing for new import suppliers with product managers
EDUCATION, TRAINING, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications
Matric/Equivalent
Post Matric Qualification in Supply Chain (will be advantageous)
Skills and Experience
5yrs experience in a Technical Buying Role
Good English, written and spoken
Skilled in coordinating deliveries
TrustworthyApplicant should be extremely coordinated and ready to focus on assignments
Capacity to perform obligations and intentional speed and exactness without quick and consistent management
Up-and-comers should be well-disposed, amiable, and ready to fabricate amicable working associations with clients, collaborators and the overall population
Capacity to practice great judgment in perceiving the extent of power and safeguarding classified data
