UKZN Online application requirements 2023-2024

Below are the UKZN online application requirements for undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students.

1.1 Bachelor’s degree applicants must have a National Senior Certificate for Degree Studies (NSC-Deg) or an approved Senior Certificate.
1.2 Bachelor’s degree applicants must have obtained a National Diploma (NSC-Dip) or Advanced Certificate. For more information follow this link.

An appropriate bachelor’s degree, or eligibility for that degree’s status under regulation GR7(a), or achievement of the proficiency level specified in regulation GR7(b).
Additional criteria for admission may be set by the school/university. University handbooks are available at www.ukzn.ac.za.
Some schools/universities may accept advanced diplomas for admission to postgraduate diplomas if HEQF (Higher Education Qualification Framework) requirements are met. For more information follow this link.

International applicants are selected based on academic merit and available space. If you drop out of a school outside of South Africa, you must contact the South African Admissions Office directly to confirm your admission to a South African course. Please email us for more information.

International applicants with two undergraduate degrees (“A” – “E”) and three O-level degrees (“A”, “B” or “C”) or equivalent are eligible for AEB or Cambridge exemptions can apply However, certain subject categories are also essential.
