The University of South Africa (Unisa) Online Application date for this academic year is now available. From September to October 2024, the University of South Africa will allow online applications for undergraduate degrees. Master’s and doctoral qualifications: September-November 2024, and Honours degrees and Postgraduate diplomas: September-October 2024.

Document Submission and Results:

The following resources MUST be included with a totally online application:

  • Your application fee payment receipt must be authenticated (This is a non-refundable compulsory fee for every applicant)
  • Your certified copy of your identification document (ID document is compulsory for South African citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants)
  • results of the last Grade 12 examination (if available). Your grade 11 results are essential to your application if you are currently enrolled in grade 12. Keep it nearby, then.
  • a unique email address when submitting an online or paper application. Remember that certain colleges’ emails won’t be accepted by specific systems: It is advised that you create and use a Gmail or Yahoo mail address for the program.

 Eligibility Requirements

  • Review the admission requirements in detail before applying to make sure you meet the prerequisites. Before submitting your application, carefully read the application instructions.

Scanners and electrical equipment are not provided by Unisa. Before beginning the application procedure, please make sure that your documents have been scanned and downloaded to an electronic device.

When completing the online application, pay close attention to the instructions. Do not upload the entire set of papers in one file; instead, upload only the necessary documents as individual files.

  • Each file is no more than 2MB (2048KB).
  • Only papers in black and white may be submitted.
  • Files of the following types are not allowed: TIF, PDF, and PDF/A (Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format)
  • Portable Document Format file), or DOC (Word document file) (image file)

Everyone who wants to begin a new qualification must submit an admissions application. This comprises

  • newly admitted Unisa students
  • Students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization at Unisa, students finishing a higher certificate or an alternative pathway/extended program who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies, students who previously applied for admission but were either not offered a space or were offered a space but did not register, etc.
