The two components of this module—Section A: Security Technology and Section B: Information Security—serve the following purposes. With particular reference to the various industries/sectors in the security environment, Section A’s goal is to give students the tools they need to apply sound supervisory, managerial, and technical knowledge, values, and skills of various security technological aids (and the supporting technology). The goal of Section B is to give students the opportunity to analyze and assess their data and information protection-related abilities and knowledge.

The primary goal is to acquire crucial abilities and information for using and putting into practice research philosophies, ideas, procedures, and approaches as they are applied in the study field of security science. They will be given the knowledge and abilities necessary to apply the research philosophies, ideas, techniques, and approaches currently used in the associated discipline via this module. Students who successfully complete this module will be able to: Solve problems by applying the proper research philosophies, theories, methods, methodologies, and procedures for the field of security science.

SECURITY RISK CONTROL MEASURES I – SEP2606

the introduction and general orientation of security risk control measures to pupils (recommendations and solutions to security risks). To place this module in relation to the protective security risk control function as a whole, an overview of the various categories of security risk control measures and concepts is provided. In order to protect susceptible assets from known security (crime) risks, the student will learn how to recognize and put into practice effective security risk control procedures. The student will also learn how to suggest changes to the security measures that have been identified.
