VACANCY: PRIVATE EQUITY ANALYST OR ASSOCIATE

Duties & Responsibilities

Key requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

- Financial tertiary qualification
- Strong financial modeling skills
- South African nationality
- Johannesburg-based or willing to relocate
- CA (SA), CFA

Role responsibilities

Review and analysis of market opportunities
involvement in deal-making activities
Deal sifting for fresh chances and capacity to advise the team
Financial modeling and analysis for new investments
valuation of current and potential portfolio firms
help with deal execution by managing deal processes and liaising with counterparties
Conducting and managing diligence investigations
Prepare investment memos for investment committee presentation Offer structuring and negotiation assistance throughout transaction creation
Participation in the negotiation and signing of legal agreements
participation in the firm’s investment decision-making processes
Monitoring portfolio company performance and assisting with the execution of their growth plans
Agile Capital’s representation on the boards of portfolio companies

desired qualifications and experience
Experience in any of the following fields is crucial to take into account:

- Private equity
- Transacting and/or deal making background
- Transaction advisory services
- Leverage finance
- Corporate finance
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Deal advisory
- Management consulting
